A good opening fixture despite not playing that well in the first period, we totally controlled the game in the second.
We took the lead on 23 minutes when a Billy corner was not cleared. It reached Dance on the other side from the original corner and his cross back in was headed home by Billy close in from a very tight angle.
Just prior to the break Rich had a 35 yard shot flash past the post and a minute later a Dan Baguley cross found Leigh whose header went just round the upright.
Just a couple of minutes after the re-start we had scored our second, the ball was played up to Leigh and his header beat his marker. He was able to turn and somehow held off a couple of challenges to almost walk the ball into the net.
On the hour Max came on for the injured Gary Langrish and with a quarter of an hour left Jack came on for Baggs and made his presence felt with some hard work up front and had a 25 yard shot just off target with four minutes left on the clock. With one minute left Max had a fine run down the right flank and his cross across the front of goal eluded everyone.
