Despite taking a two goal lead leaving our hosts with a mountain to climb in the final 18 minutes we somehow managed to drop our heads to let them back in to the game and eventually just gain a point when three looked certain.
Poppies had most of the first half with attacks down both flanks- particularly the right creating numerous chances to open the scoring. Indeed on 20 minutes such an opening saw Dance's effort just miss the target by a foot. Just two minutes later a similar opportunity fell for Jack who shot just wide from the same area. Just a couple of minutes later another teasing cross from Gary Langrish saw a spectacular diving header from a Downton defender that so nearly hit the target.
It was not until the 57th minute we took the lead when following a corner, the Robins' defence failed to clear their lines and the ball was swung in again by Billy, resulting in a towering header from Lamin finding the target.
Fifteen minutes later Lamin bagged another when he was picked out from another Billy corner to again hit the target from around six yards out.
Given our opportunities earlier the game should really have been wrapped up, but our hosts got back into the game after we conceded a silly free kick some twenty yards out. To cap it all with some ten minutes left on the clock Downton grabbed a share of the spoils when converting a penalty.
