Following on from our cup success, Poppies again kept a clean sheet and picked up a very useful three points. Points that are very welcome at this stage of the season.
Our breakthrough didn't some until the 27th minute when a Merritt throw in was helped on by Lamin for Tim to slot home at the back stick.
Gary Langrish and Tim both had good games along the flanks and Chris Toy, on his league debut also showed good form and indeed could consider himself unlucky not to open the scoring on 14 minutes when a Harlequins defender just managed to beat him to a header.
Leigh scored our second on 38 when Tim's shot was parried by the visiting 'keeper and he made no mistake from close range.
It wasn't until the 82nd minute though before we wrapped up the points when Leigh bundled the ball home from close range after good build up work from Gary on the right. It was just as well that an effort from Czastka on 56 minutes rebounded back into play as to concede a goal then would have brought our guests back into the game.
